“O let me bathe my soul in colours; let me swallow the sunset and drink the rainbow.” ~ Kahlil Gibran
This summer we will focus our eyes on “COLOR,” dipping our quills into exquisite palettes of beauty, creating more colorful, vibrant writing … for personal pleasure and enhanced creative expression … enlivening a book, a blog, a page, a poem! Tuesday or Thursday mornings.
Eight Tuesday Mornings 10:00 ~ 12:30: Beginning July 10
“Soon it got dusk, a grapy dusk, a purple dusk over tangerine groves and long melon fields;
the sun the color of pressed grapes, slashed with burgandy red,
the fields the color of love and Spanish mysteries.”
~ Jack Kerouac, On the Road
Eight Thursday Mornings 10:00 ~ 12:30: Beginning July 12
“The beauty and mystery of this world
only emerges through affection, attention, interest and compassion . . .
open your eyes wide and actually see this world
by attending to its colors, details and irony.”
~ Orhan Pamuk, My Name is Red
The Wednesday afternoon “Oasis” is a “Project Oriented” group focusing on the theme, while offering guidance and support to bring projects forth and forward. We welcome new members! Come dive in … then drift dreamily across the pages, inviting new possibilities into stories.
Eight Wednesday Afternoons 1:30 ~ 4:00: Beginning July 11
“Imagine plunging into new found pools
of shimmering thoughtforms,
deep wellsprings of imagination,
where we can float in transcendent reverie,
dreaming new possibilities into story, into being…”
~ Linda Gionti, We’Moon
This summer I am again offering a Writing Group Facilitator’s Training to women writers called to create a sacred writing circle. You’ll receive all the guidance—practical and spiritual—to create and facilitate an inspiring and successful writing circle complete with a certificate. Also excellent for retreat facilitators.
Writing Group Facilitator’s Training: (Days and times TBA)
“From what I have heard and observed many women yearn to belong to a women’s circle …
consciously creating sacred women’s circles can accelerate humanity’s shift
to a post-patriarchal era embracing female values and principles…
for patriarchy to change, there has to be a millionth circle.”
~ Jean Shinoda Bolen, M.D., visionary and author
